Fifty Susquehanna students recently presented research at the 31st annual National Conference on Undergraduate Research in Memphis, Tenn. Established in 1987, the conference is dedicated to promoting undergraduate research and scholarship done in partnership with faculty or other mentors. The annual conference has become a national celebration of undergraduate scholarly activity involving all academic disciplines and all institutions of higher education.
Over 150 Ithaca College students were named to the Empire 8 President's List. In order to be considered for the President's List, a student-athlete must earn a 3.75 grade point average or higher while participating in a conference-sponsored sport.

IC Books Thru Bars collects books and sends them free-of-charge to prisoners upon request. Since its conception at Ithaca College in Dec. 2013, Books Thru Bars has distributed nearly 450 books to prisoners across the country.
Fourteen students recently studied in Australia as part of the university's Global Opportunities (GO) program. The trip, titled Focus Australia, concentrates on the history, culture and biogeography of one of the world's most arid countries. The study tour, including stays in New South Wales, the Northern Territory and far northern Queensland, offers opportunities to spend time in the rainforest, scuba dive on the Great Barrier Reef, walk at the sacred aboriginal sites of Uluru and Kata Tjuta, and tour the historic city of Sydney.
